Cheap 30-30 Recipe

"The Load" is not safe to use in the .30-30. Don't try it. 9 grs under a 150gr cast bullet produces 38,100 CUP! 33 grs of H335 under the same bullet produces 31,700 CUP. If you load 13 grs of Red Dot in the .30-30 you're gonna have a bad time.

See this is why I said I'd probably just stick with rifle powders, seems much easier to use lol

Nah flake powders are so quick and accurate to dispense. Just have to follow load data not idiots on the internet lol. 700 to 1000 rounds to a pound of powder is friggin sweet these days.

Well not to derail any further but I like the Campro 30 carbine 110gn with 22gn of H4895 and a solid crimp. Although H4895 seems pretty hard to come by these days....

Super light recoil, pretty good accuracy, load fine in my lever and lots of fun.

I know lots of people that use the flake powders in the rifle cases but I avoid it just due to the risks of overcharging. Rifle powders are safer in this regard. Lots of people run the shotgun/pistol powders in their plinking loads but not me.

I'm running 150grn berry bullets, and reddot powder, in my 308 and gets me about 3/4" at 100. At the time it was costing me 17 cents to load.

Just gotta do research. I seen alot if people running 5-6grn with cast bullets in their 3030. More than enough to pop a porcupine. I think this would be your cheapest route.
