Hey guys
I just bought my first 45 (the Can am deal) and I remember seeing a post about cheap .45 mags. I don't remember where- but I think they were around $10 each. Would like to get a few- can you help?
Thanks

$17 for ACT mags from Wolverine.....the cheap 7 round mags going around are pretty #### quality. I picked up 3 and had problems with all of them. ACT are much better, good solid mags.

Too cheap and they won't work. Spend the extra few bucks and get some good ones. MEC-GAR made in Italy are really good. I bought mine at P&D years ago. Never ever a problem.

I brought four from DLASK ARMS CORP. Eight round mags. No problems with them. Go for the eight rounders, they are good to go for IPSC.

Using cheap mags in a gun shooting .45acp cartridges is like putting bald tires on a Porsch because you got a deal on them. Yes they will work but they can leave you stranded when you need them the most. Of the better brands Wilson 8 rounders work well for me in my 1911's.

Take Care

Bob

I have a number of Norinco 7 round GI mags and have never had a problem with any of them, in fact they have been 100% reliable. That being said, the ACT mags are much easier on the eyes and they are very good quality at only a few bucks more per mag. Worth the money.

My two norinco mags work just as great as the 3 stainless steel ones i got from brownells

h ttp://www.brownells.com/magazines/handgun-magazines/magazines/45-govt-comm-s-s-7-rd-round-follower-w-welded-base-sku620045002-9210-22882.aspx?sku=620045002

More expensive then providence supplies but i had to fill up my order at brownells ahha

My NightHawk came with ACT mags. I bought another dozen of them and haven't had a single problem. I figured if they were good enough to ship with a $4K pistol they would be good enough for me. They are.

Very well stated, personally it is either Wilsons or Tripp Research magazines for me. If your planning on shooting competition, the reliability of your equipment reflects the quality (or lack of) of the equipment you purchase.

Bought 6 ACT mags from Wolverine 1 year ago. They are good to go! Although I prefer Wilson Combat but at 3x the price, if you are on a budget, ACT mags are good enough.
