Cheap ammo!!

If you have a TSC store close you may try there. I get my 150 gr Winchester 308 there . 15.99 regular, but I buy it a few times a year when they have 15 or 20% off. If only they carried .223 wssm.

"...a TSC store..." They don't all carry ammo or any shooting related stuff. Certainly not in Ontario.
"...27 dollars or so for 40..." Well, that's definitely cheap. Mind you, you get what you pay for. It may not shoot worth beans out of your rifle. The only way to find out is to try it.
Apparently, you're not reloading, so you'll have to try a box of as many brands and bullet weights as you can to find the ammo your rifle shoots best.

Maybe I should reiterate. My local TSC in Goderich, Ontario carries crossbows, hunting decoys, blinds, calls and yes ammo. 12ga, .243, ,308,30.06, and .22. All silver box Winchester.
I find the 150 gr work well in my m305. About 2" at 100 through the irons. Haven't tried the 180gr though, I'll pick up a few boxes today.
I do reload for all my calibers, anly way to shoot a picky WSSM, but find the Norc a little hard on brass, and goes through the Varget and bullets fairly quick as well.

I was in our Walmart in Kingston the other day and the ammo cabinet was empty. As usual there were no clerks around, but it looks to me like they're not going to be selling ammo any more.

Funny I heard that here in Ottawa too. I think Walmart wants to get out of the ammo business. I reload for everything except shotgun so I don't really care what they do. It is a shame though, because it will be seen as another victory for the anti's.

What I would like to say, that every day more and more business are getting out of the ammo and black gun or handgun business, because in there opinion it is not looking nice.
