A few days ago I was at the local Dollarama with my girlfriend, and in their seasonal section they had duck decoys they were selling as garden decorations, either $1.50 or $2 each, not a terrible way for some new hunters to start out

Ducks aren't that smart. Somewhere I've got some roughly shaped blocks of styrofoam painted brown with no heads that worked surprisingly well. Besides, if you don't like the color, you could paint them, although finding ctire's decoys on for 20 bucks/doz Does sound better.

You are right about that. I have seen us use seaweed in balls on the field and have them come in to our calls.:)
