Is this possible to get one of the dirt cheap norinco m14's and turn it into an ebr? The ebr is the u.s's battle rifle i think they use it in squads with 1 person as the DMR?

Anyway they look sweet and i was wondering if theirs a cheap way to mod a regular one.

If their isn't what are the options of atleast adding some rails and a pistol grip and tacticooling up an m14?

edit: PICS ARE ENCOURAGED!

what about an ebr like chasis? Just the chasis costs a lot? Why and is their no other companies remaking these as replicas or somthing.
Because in the USA where most of these are produced they do not have access to the Chineese M305's with the exception to those that were imported 10 or so years ago.
People spending over 1,000 on a real M14 or M1A don't want cheap crap.
Many will spend nearly $1,000 on a receiver alone and start building from there.

Thomas the old M14 Doc was going to do a tutorial on how to modify a Chinese plastic stock to a pistol grip and AR type tube stock but I don't think he ever finished it..... try a search.

Save up some cash and get a blackfeather from M14.ca

Think op was asking about adding a pistol grip to the cheap stock not dropping a grand on a chassis.

The answer is yes, you can integrate a pistol grip and rails with a few hours work and a shotgun stock adapter (or rifle adapter - can't remember )

There are a few examples if you search

If you don't want to spend the money and you want to buy a replica, I suggest an airsoft one. It would look "sweet", you would have your "US Battlerifle DMR", and it would be cheap, which seem to be your priorities. I've even read about people doing it, but personally, I wouldn't go anywhere near it. If you want a safe, reliable chassis system that will perform as promised, you'll just have to cough up the $1000+ for the real deal.

There are other chassis systems out there starting as low as $600 (m14.ca Blackfeather) if you choose to reprioritize performance over looking tacticool.
