Cheap red dot for 10/22 Tasco?

I'm looking for a cheap red dot for the 22. I noticed Canadian Tire sells a Tasco red dot for 50 bucks. All the CT reviews are really good but does anyone have experience with one? Any thoughts?

I just want something that works decent and is cheap at this point. Once I get my VZ I will spend a little extra on something nice.

Yeah, I was looking at those as well. I'm sure they are better than the Tasco, but double the price. I just want something cheap for plinking up to 50 yards. Maybe if I can find a TRS-25 for a good price I might go for that one.

Cheapest I found for the Bushnell TRS-25 so far is 109.99, but unfortunately out of stock.
Anybody know a store with a better price?

I bought 2 TRS25s from P&D. I still haven't mounted them on anything but they'll get used eventually.

I ended up paying the bit extra and going with the TRS-25. Thanks for the input. I guess I had no choice also because no Canadian Tires in the Toronto area seem to stock the Tasco. Pisses me off because it says in stock on the website and they always screw you over!

The Tasco red dot works decent, my only complain with it was that it was a battery hog. Costs more to run in the long run than a better quality optic. And no auto shut off, so dont leave it on!
