Just bought a Henry Lever action .22 and I am looking for a cheap socope. It will be used mainly for range shooting and the occasional outside trips. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I just bought a cheap scope from SIR for 45.99 3X9X32 Bushnell, part number 620528. Seems okay I will know better tommorrow after I shoot the gun for the first time..

Get a quality 4x fixed scope. It will be smaller, brighter and have less distortion. The Nikon 4x rimfire scope is excellent for the money.

I'm getting an Ithica 72 Saddle gun I was told by one of the employees behind the desk to get a 3-9x scope if I planned on hunting anything like rabbits and such as it provides just that little zoom to sight the tender morsel in accurately. I can't remember what scope it was other then Bushnell, but the price difference between the 3x and the 3-9x was only $2 but then again I think the price was a little over inflated at 43.99 and 45.99 respectively. So I'm thinking a if you would include a scope that would be good for and Ithica 72 that will be used for Hunting Rabbits and such.

how much is the Nikon 4x, Mike? at WSS I looked through a 4x30 and 6x30 Weaver...$175, sure, but wow! :D all metal construction too.

The 4x32 Nikon Prostaff is around $110 at most of the US stores. If you have to buy in Canada, SIR is listing it at $140. Parallax is set to 50 yds.

I picked up a 2x Tasco Bantam at the damn walmart in michigan for 20 bucks.
Its a very short scope that does not change the ballance and weight too much. Even with the scope its a light handy rifle.

Don't people get banned from this site for even suggesting they scope a lever rifle ? :D
I like my Henry the way it is but most of my 22's wear the previously mentioned Bushnell 3x9x32. Cheap and they do the job.
