Hello!
I search a cheap scope for my browning blr. It’s my spare hunting rifle and i dont want to spend lot of cash on it. If it hold the zero on a 308 and its clear enough to shoot a moose up to 200-250 yards, it’s fine for me.

Looking for your recommendation! I would prefer to stay in the well known brand and under 300 if possible.
Thanks :)

A used Redfield revolution is a great scope and at the top end of your budget.
A used Leupold XV-II would just slightly go over and be worth every penny if you can pull it.
If you want to stay new I might consider an Sig Sauer Buckmaster; I recently purchased a 3-12x42 for about $275 after tax so it meets your budget. Honestly I have no experience with this line yet as it isn’t even mounted yet and likely won’t be using it in the field myself so durability would be for someone else to comment on, my brother in law has one and likes it, it’s been good, but I don’t think he’s hunted with it either.
I looked at the Burris Fullfields and they looked nice, one was in your budget but just, and so short you pretty much need a rail to mount it so it may, or may not work for you.

Are you looking for new or used????

Just about any scope available today, other than those sold for use on airsoft or pneumatic firearms, will do the job you require.

Go to your local Canadian Tire or Local Gun Shop and look at what they have in stock.

Your LGS, may even have some good used scopes in their cabinets.

I am personally a fan of Vortex optics, i have never had a moments trouble with mine ( I have about 6 of them plus 2 sets of Binos) I would recommend to a friend.

Many will disagree and maybe I've just been lucky but...
I've had 7 or 8 Vortex scopes over the years and never had a problem with any of them.
Still have a 4x16-44 HP on my 6.5cm and a 2x7-33 on my 45-70 (y)

Coincidentally, I've had 6 or 7 Vortex scopes as well. Oddly enough, I only ever bought two...

I'm not interested in warranty nearly as much as I am interested in getting a scope that won't need the warranty.

The old steel Weaver K series scopes will do a workmanlike job. $50-$100 is the usual price range. The Bushnell Scopechief scopes are good, and usually very reasonably priced. Shouldn't have to pay more than $100 for a fixed power model.

I’m a hardcore Leupold guy but
I’d still say Burris Fullfield. You can find a really good one for 250 almost anywhere
And they don’t seem like a cheap scope by any means with good glass and the E1 retical is great too
I’ve got three of em and I absolutely love them for what they are
Just don’t buy a vortex crossfire or copperhead lol anything of that nature then you’ll be disappointed

"Cheap" means low quality and imho that's exactly what 99% of inexpensive scopes give you.
I like Snider Shooters recommendation of the old steel Weaver scopes.
I have one on a 30-06 and 243. Both are 40-50yrs old and have been used countless times without issue and are clear and light.
They can be found and bought inexpensively
Good luck choosing!

My experience - old Weaver scopes are like looking through the bottom of a coke bottle.

A used Bushnell Scope Chief would satisfy your needs. Very bright and sharp image.
Originally Bushnell made three models (Sportview 1 year warranty) (Banner 5 year warranty)(Scopechief 20 year warranty and seldom required)

As it happens, I just mounted a 4X Bushnell Scopechief on my Sako .308 (a parts gun. Salvaged action, take-off Sako barrel, NOS Colt/Sako stock).
