Cheap scopes with big wheels?

I was looking for a rim fire scope and I noticed that a lot of the cheap off shore scopes all seem to come with this big ass wheel that goes on the parallax adjustment dial. Some of them are like, half wheels. Whats the deal with that?

Used for air gun or short range 22lr mostly allows for precise parallax adjustments. It’s an option of more expensive target oriented scopes Kahles k1050, some March scope and I’d imagine others
