I almost hate to mention Lever Arms, but there you go...

They have Yugoslavian Surplus 8mm Mauser, in 900 round spam cans, for $499.00

I wouldn't mention it, but I know a lot of you guys have been looking. I'm tempted to buy a case, even though I don't have anything to make it go bang.

Be advised: It's Lever Arms, so count your fingers after you shake their hands.

It means they can be a bit shifty at times. I got a great deal on an SVT off them from their famous SVT Xmas blowout last year - $200 - they ran my card through right away, then 3 weeks of phoning them, off and on, to remind them to actually ship what I paid for.

In the end, it was a great rifle at a great price. But they can be a hassle to deal with.
 
I guess he means count your rings after shaking hands. Some people have good dealings there but there are way too many negative stories for it to be a coincidence.

I myself won't be going back, I kept going back and giving them chances but gave up.
 
Sucks, working in retail myself. I can't understand how a business can screw up that bad at times.
It's just way more easy to do stuff properly on the long run.
 
I have used some of that Yugo Surplus Lever sells. I have had mixed reviews.. it won't feed worth a #### in my MG34, and doesn't fire about 25% of the time in my 1916 Mauser. It does work everytime in my K98. It is also Berdan Primed, so if you want to reload it it's a ##### to convert. I would suggest either reloading, or you can buy new Privi FMJ for 20 bucks a box elsewhere


also... you would be supporting lever arms....
 
I remember when Allen sold the Portuguese 8mm for $60.00 for 800 rounds. Mg42 loved it. 98k Mauser did too!
