What's the cheapest .22lr you've seen? I've seen a 555 brick going for about $22 at Walmart. I think Canadian tire has a price match too. I've seen some alright deals online but then shipping would kick that to the curb.

Where's the best prices you've found?

Cheapest 22lr I've seen is the Wildcat.
Best bang for my buck seems to be Blazer 500rnd bulk packs. It shoots incredibly well in most of my 22's; on par with match ammo in a couple. I buy it at the range I go to for $23.99/500rnds.

x3 on the Wildcats at LeBaron.

Performance wise, the Blazers always treat me good. No mis-fires, acccurate out of all my guns, cycle perfectly. Hell, they almost put my 80 years Cooey into "tack driver" range at 20m.

I bought some of the 555 round winchester bulk boxes from walmart at $21.37/box.
They work out to less than $2. for 50, which is a fantastic deal in my view....

As a side note: I went back a week later to get a couple more & there wasn't any left, so I had to settle
for the Dynapoint for a few bucks more for the same size box. Get em while you can, target season in coming folks!

Cheaper to buy the individual 525 packs now.

I wouldn't buy wildcats if it was the only choice there was.

How much are the 525 packs going for these days. It seemed to me they had crept up to $25 after tax and that's what I just paid for 4 packs in an ammo can including shipping( I believe still haven't seen the credit card invoice)

So same price as single box but includes ammo can that's worth $10-$20

Where was that from, Cabellas?

Yes Cabellas, I just rechecked the numbers and with shipping and and order of 5 cans it came down to $27.70 per box of 525 so if you can get them locally for $25 with tax and a good condition ammo can for around $15 there is not much savings. I like the Federal bulk and was having a hard time finding it in stock so I went ahead and ordered a bunch.

$22.99 * 4 = $91.96
$91.96/2100 ≈ .044 per rd
$94.99/2100 ≈ .045 per rd

So yes it is cheaper to buy the individual packs. If you value the ammo can no but the guy asked about cheapest ammo(splitting hairs). I leave out shipping and taxes b/c that varies across the country. On another note just stopped at a small gas station & they had the 525 packages for 15.99.

When the ammo can were 10 dollars cheaper they were the cat @$$. I think it might have been the grand opening sale so might have just been in saskatoon. Might have to go to regina when that one opens up.
