I think I just felt inspired on a whim, to pick myself up an SKS in the next few days. :) I haven't really been into any of the shops around here, so maybe someone could suggest to me where to go to pick one up. Lever Arms' website has them listed for 135.00... that good? Is there any essential extras I should get with it?

A friend reminded me the other day that we used to go to Lever on our lunch breaks (we drove for a living). One day he picked up a Lee-Enfield and I bought an SKS. We had them in the trucks all day, took back to the warehouse at the end of the day and took them home. Those were the days- no one thought it was a big deal, except our boss wanted the Enfield.

well the new ones aren't like the old ones! nice rifle for the money, but they are not a real SKS. check the forums for threads on how to pick one (ps you still got the old one? )

The new rifles at lever are made up of parts, ie no matching numbers on any parts. The barrels are 1.5" shorter than the original and orig. bayos won't fit. The tool kit trap door is gone and replaced with a rubber extension butt pad. The rifles are still a good deal, just make sure to check the fit at the barrel and receiver. Lever doesn't carry the detachable mag D model

Need some help.. I just picked up a new sks 7.62 x39 at lever, great rifle, but I was looking for soft point bullet for it, can anyone tell me where I can pickup some 7.62 x 39 sp bullets up in Vancouver . Or do they even make a sp for the 7.62 x 39?
thanks any help would be great

cReliable Gun & Tackle on Fraser had some earlier this year. Expensive tho' compared to the milsurp stuff.
Sometimes available at the HACS Gun Shows in Burnaby - next one Sunday Jan 15.
You're not the Jamie Douglas mountain biker supreme are you?
