Just looking to get 1000 rds of each caliber..cheapest I found was about 240 for 1000 In Ottawa at Lebarons..but on back order.....looked at custom reloading...shipping kills the deal :(

thanks in advance :)

Industries Centaure Ltée (Les) 450-661-5517. He's in Laval Quebec. Call and ask if he ships to anyone in the Ottawa/Hull area regularly. He's the best high quality reload ammo I know of in the Montreal region.

9 mm for 12 bucks is a very nice deal, but only if in stock. Typically a box of 50 runs 14-16, by the case you save maybe 10 %. 357 will usually run you 18-21 per box and again -10% for a case. Selection and inventory are the killer atm but call around and you might find a deal. gl

you have TWO problems, my friend.

1 - the 9mm is in very high demand, so the cheapest stuff is sold before it's even put on a shelf, or within hours of being posted online
2 - the 357mag will NEVER be cheap, and the wolf reloaded stuff that is cheap isn't really magnum power, so it's kind of a waste
3 - you don't reload yet

ok, so you have THREE problems. solve #3 and you've solved #1 and #2.

Try theammosource.com they have good prices on most ammo and they sell Wolfe Commercial reloads as well!
They are in Harrowsmith just north of Kingston so you can go pick it up or have it shipped.
Good people to deal with.

ok...so whats the cheapest 357 magnum you can get?....guess ill go with the 9mm from lebarons....ive been to ammo source as my dad lives in kingston...any other stores that are recommended?

It's less a case of what's the cheapest .357 you can get and more a case of get whatever you can find. I have a .357 on the way and have been looking, and have decided to go straight to reloading. Even the components seem to be a case of grab what you can when you can find it.

X whatever, now on reloading the 357mag. I picked up most of my factory loads around 25.00/50, S&B brand from SFRC. Most of what I shoot through the revolver is 38special SWC reloaded by Wolf, but it is very light and requires extra cleaning in the cylinder.

I reloaded for rifle long before I bought a handgun, but just the 357 or 44 alone make reloading a very financially attractive proposition: The latter especially as new factory rounds cost about a buck a bang with Wolf SWC still being much cheaper than the new rounds. Reloading will cut the cost by half and you can make whatever type of round your heart desires. :)

As Dogzilla pointed out, stocks fill and empty quickly. Reloading supplies have similar droughts, but not as pronounced and usually shorter.

edit - the aforementioned S&B rounds are now around 32.00/50 and available, and SWC are about 2.00 less/50.
