What rifle caliber's are the cheapest to shoot? Preferably the top 3 from cheapest.

7.62x39 is by far the cheapest, and the CZ-858 is the highest quality firearm you can buy that will deliver this round.
.223 is also very cheap, but most .223 rifles are restricted.
After that, I dunno...

cheapest 7.62x39 (cheapest i saw was 1500 rounds for 250$)
7.62x54 is also cheap but the supply is really unreliable
then i guess you get to .223

I wouldn't call $500/1000 "very cheap", unfortunately.

You can still get surplus 7.62 Nato for about $.55 a round, if you look hard enough.

Since when are most .223's restricted?

They are not.

Most MODELS are not restricted, only a couple semi auto's such as AR15 and similar, AR-180, etc, that were restricted by OIC. There are also a number that are prohib.

There are lots of non-restricted, semi auto 223s, plus all bolt and single shot rifles.
