I'm looking at different guns to purchase when my pal arrives and would like to purchase a shotgun. I dont plan on hunting this year and will be shooting at the range. What's my best approach for ammo if I am not interested in shooting clay?

Depending on how much you shoot. Slugs cost about a dollar apiece from canadian tire. Cheaper if you buy by the case.

If you were planning on shooting more than a couple of hundred of them then it may make sense to set yourself up to cast.

the cheapest way to shoot anything is by the case... the more you buy the more you save... and shop around... gun shop's can normaly beat walmart if your buying 250+ rnd's at a time.

WHere do you buy bulk buckshot? Can you get filler too? Reloading 12g would be even more enticing if I could make my own quality buck loads.

i hear casting i cheaper....other than that just under $1 each for a case or $1 each at wal-mart/ crappy tire....;)
