Hey so I have a USM1 carbine with a serial number 3736###,

It says IBM corp, above the SN just under the rear sight.

My M1 was made between January 1944 and March of 1944. Is this unique? Special, or by any means rare?
Or do I have a pretty common M1 Carbine?

Not rare, unique or special by any means unless all original then it may be worth a bit more. Pics would help.

Im not sure what im looking at. You figured our the year based on the serial number?

IBM made almost 350,000 m1 carbines so not rare unless its a AO (auto ordinance subcontract receiver) and even then not super rare all parts must be correct for collectability

Its a common ww2 rifle fun to shoot
