Theses are Custom made Elk grips for my Orignal Antique Renimgton 1875 Army Revolver.

The gun is set up in 45 Schofield im pushing 250 Gr Keith bullets at over 900 FPS with this puppy :D The new Cylinder can handle heavy loads no trobles the Remington 1875 Frame is the strongest of all the Antique Wheelguns.
the 1878 DA colts are about as strong to but theses 1875s have a thicker Top strap are heavy units.

The weight is great cause my Lighter colts barrel is still way up in the air as this guns barrel is back down on target alot faster.
There a nice gun with and EX action smoother than my best SAA Colt.
Ive got a Matching pair of theses as Keepers then gona sell off a couple more ive collected.

The mate to this one will spout a shorter Barrel tho about 5.5
this gun has the full 7.5 inch barrel.
The Elk grip is great just really feels good in the hand.

Theses Ruger flap holsters are the best for west coast bush packing they are so well made and keep out the water.

That is just awesome ,I love the sleek look that frame bracing gives it.
Way cooler than the SAA in my opinion. Nothing beats matched sets.
Your going to need something to go with it though.

Unsub thats a sweet Bowie! i cant seem to give up on my Puma white hunter tho. I have bought 3 other knives but always end up with that Puma on my belt.

I`m a black powder noob, where does one buy such a fine pistolÉ

Well you can buy a Repo Uberti Outlaw that needs to be registered and shot at the range.
Finding and Orignal Antique 1875 Remington Army like one of mine for sale in Canada is Rare.
I have 2 keepers and im gona be selling a couple of theses orignal guns over this summer there in 45 schofield but will shoot 455 fiochhi as well.
There as Expensive as a Orignal SAA Colt.
so not a cheep gun to buy.
I have made them my special Favorite Antique Revolvers, for the Strength and the great action accurate and that heft :D.

Actually I would say the best place for a blackpowder newb to buy guns like that is off the more experienced members here on CGN.
Dingus was a huge help to me on my first antique purchase (a DA S&W .44 long cylinder).

I would suggest a repro if you plan on shooting a lot of rounds through it but I think it is a shame if those antiques never get used.

Rather than put a bunch of matching knife photos on the gun forum I am going to link to a couple threads anyone who is into these old guns should find interesting over on the edged weapons side. The first is my reproductions of some classic antiques thread.

Both of these have lots of great pics and I tried to show both the original and the modern repro.
For example here is the original the elk handled cowboy bowie I posted is based on.

I also have a cool thread on slip joint folders.

One of the great things about these knives is you get to carry and use them every day. Often they are our dads or in some way remind us of someone. They also are excellent tools for the kind of things you actually use a knife for.

How about showing us some other cool toys Dingus ,like that .41 SAA you had a while ago?
