Hey guys just aquired this a s&w 66-1. I'm not really familiar with this model. But she sure is a beauty. In amazing shape. Been very well cared for. Came with original box and paperwork. Anybody familiar with these? Very many in Canada? I haven't seen many. The quality back in the eighties was superb. This revolver is sweet. Action seems as smooth as my python! Here's a couple pics. Check her out!

Very Nice Gun and yes there around its the stainless version of the Model 19. They come up for sale once in awhile most people that have them like them so you dont see them up for sale that often just like the model 19 there a great shooter just dont run lot of hot loads through them. As there not built like a tank as the Rugers are. Enjoy and have fun with it you'll like it..

just traded for the exact revolver also in exc shape. i reload 38 special 148 gr wadcutters with 2.8 gr bullseye powder. i had 2 newer smiths a 625 and a 617 -sold both. this ones a keeper no lock and no underlug. i picked up a model 17-4 in the same deal- also a keeper, i had them both at the range today and shot better groups than any handguns ive owned . they are 1978 and 79 year of manufacture

The K-frame Smith&Wessons were/are very nice guns, however they aren't really designed to shoot a lot of hot .357 loads...that's why the L-frames were developed. Keep the loadings moderate [or just use .38SP] and it will last you for many years.
