Has anyone come across one of these? It's an auto loader but yet a single shot 22lr/ 22 short. It fires from an open bolt and then the shell is ejected from the bottom. The single round is loaded from a trap door in the top. This one is in fair condition. Stock is a little dinged up.

My grandfather apparently had one, though I only heard about it. Made from 1957 to 61, an interesting gun.

Then when living in AB a girl I knew shot gophers with one.

I bought one brand new in Salmon Arm in about 1960. It was a unique 22, but I tired of the single shot feature at the time, and
traded it off on a Mossberg 151M.
As I recollect, it was accurate enough, and was trouble free. Regards, Dave.

That's super slick. But the guy in the video is doing it all wrong. The spare ammo is supposed to be wedged between the fingers of the support hand! Then it's simply shoot, pluck, place and shoot again. Makes a single shot gun like this almost as fast as a bolt action gun. And hellishly fun!

I'm not even going to try to guess at a price. I'm a sucker for interesting old rimfire guns but I simply won't pay the prices I see for some of them to scratch what amounts to a fairly mild itch in my own case. So instead of a Winchester 62 pump where even a crusty example sells for well north of $400 I opt for a less popular Remington 12 and find nice shooter examples for south of $250.

So as always with something like this where you simply don't know start a bit high and drop by 10% per week until it hits the right level for someone that has to have one. Maybe start at the $500 you found on Gunbroker and work down from there.
