I saw that and was tempted

it would not be a Martini/Lee Enfield it would be a Martini Enfield Martini action and Enfield rifled barrel
Weren't most of these Martini Enfields in India converted to single shot .410 prison guard guns?
nope a lot were sold off on the civilian market aswell
Ok.
Side note... This made me wonder why the Indian police and prison guards were so fond of .410 single shot guns, which led to some googling around, and I found out today how easy it is to fireform .303 brass into a .410 brass shell, which can then be reloaded almost indefinitely. Makes sense for a police force on a budget, because spent .303 brass would be a cheap and easy thing to acquire in a former colony.
Now I have to buy a .410 shotgun to try it, so it isn't going to end up being cheap for me.

Stick a couple of SA-80 pieces and a brown bess bayonet on the end and you can explain British rifles through the ages...

That would lead to confusing it with the proper Martini Enfields.
