Doubt I'll ever see one for sale again, but at $3K USD and in rough shape, someone else can buy it once it's re-listed.

Still, worth taking a look. These are so rare they are almost never seen, let alone owned.

Gun broker number 588961123.

That is a hideous import mark. My question is what is the market for a M91 school carbine over a standard M07 carbine? To me the M07 would be more desirable as it was the actual issued firearm, not just a training aid. I haven't even heard of the school carbines, and if I had ever thought about it I would have figured they would just use standard M07s. Anyone have a bit of knowledge on the school carbines to share? The topic hasn't even come up in the two books on the Mosin Nagant I have read.

There are supposedly less than 110 of these made. They are a modified 1907 carbine and perhaps the second rarest soviet mosin after a gendarmerie carbine (10 made).

The import mark is tragic but every example in the us came from the same import and they all have it.

The thing on the side is part of the folding bayonet mechanism, but all known examples are missing the bayonet itself.
