A repost from a couple years ago, but certainly worth the read for anyone who's come aboard since, who thinks a gun is harmless, as it's "just a 22."

Some damn fine shooting those guys did, I must say, considering drop and windage, it's amazing they hit the turkey at all.

Good read for sure. I have used mine out to 200 yards so I will have to push it a little further just for fun.

Often thought about a .17 but the thousands of rounds a year I shoot, this ammo would be TOO expensive. The Mossy gun I have is capable enough for the job it does to keep me very happy. the 1940 Marlin 81s do the nearer work.
