A simple test of ones SKS firing pins.
With Safety on and muzzle in a safe direction.
Stripper clip loaded with 2 cartridges.
Load both cartridges.
Fire one.
Eject unfired Cartridge.
Prove Rifle Safe, and set in a secure place.
Compare the Primer on spent cartridge to the Live Cartridge.
Careful as things are prob' going to be rather hot.
One on the left was fired, and the one on the right was unfired.
As you can see the primers take quite a beating...something to consider if you reload this ammo someday, I'd suggest the CCI "Arsenal" primers as they are as tough as the originals.
Also if your Firing pin is put in Wrong (upside down in some Chinese versions), or is gummed up/doesn't rattle back and forth easily then the dent will be more pronounced in the unfired Cartridge. And sooner or later you are going to get a slam fire.
Edited to add...geepers I just realized I was 3 years old when this ammo was made.
