Greetings && Salutations,

By way of introduction, here is a short bio.

I grew up in a small farming town, in Western Canada. Target shooting was par for the course. We were vigilant in the war on rodents and small vermin. First rifle was a 22. I later came into a .410, for prarie chicken hunts, and finally a 12 guage shotty for geese and duck hunting.

When I left for university, I passed along my rifles to good people for safekeeping. For the next decade or so, I had neither the time, nor the means to pursue the hobby.

I watched in dismay as C-68 passed, but was distracted by all of the varied pursuits that make up a student's life.

Now, I am married, and gainfully employed.

When I looked into renewing my certs to restart my shooting activities, I was aghast at the red tape, and BS that have been piled on. For a law-abiding/taxpaying citizen, this is a very disconcerting process.

I joined this forum to find other like-minded individuals. Most all of my work colleagues are liberal weenies, and my shooting buddies have dispersed across the globe in the GreatRatRace.

I have to say, it gladdens my hear to find so many good people in one place, here on CGN. :dancingbanana:
I hope that's good enough for an intro.

Look forward to learning from you, and getting involved with this community.

Cheers.

Welcome to the nutz house. You are correct, we have the BEST people here, always willing to help out.
Once you get through the initial red tape it's a breeze, especially restricted,it's much more simpler now.
Cheers nessy.

Welcome! With an intro like that you must either be in the legal profession or you've been living back east too long :D Hope you enjoy the stay!

Well stop it, you're scaring us :D

Praire hunting rocks. I miss praire waterfowl - some darn fine eating. You can get some ok duck in bc, but it's just not the same as those grain-fed little morsels of deliciousness out your way.

Welcome fellow flatlander!

That bio sounds pretty much like mine, right down to the Saskatchewan part. Great place to grow up if you are into shooting.....

Welcome to CGN, proc.
I am sure you will find this to be the best gun forum around.
I usually ask the new guys to tell us a bit about themselves, but you have outdone yourself in that department!!
Glad you are back into shooting.
Have a look at the Newbie FAQ section. A link can be found in my signature line below.
I hope you enjoy your visits here!
