Good day all. I recently joined and have really enjoyed reading the thousands of posts that I have already read. I have barely scratched the surface and really looking forward to countless hours of electronic wandering throughout these forums. A little about me; mid 40's father of three who is an avid fisherman (both fly and gear) and outdoorsman. I recently discovered the joy of hunting by purchasing my initiation license and going out with some friends so I thought I better sign up for my pal. I have my class on March 30th and I do core on April 1st. After all the paperwork is out of the way, I have a couple guns being sent to me that are part of an estate. I have a .410 .22 O/U that belonged to my dad and then my grandfather (backwards, I know) and a 1911 Winchester 94 that my great grandfather purchased new and passed down to my grandfather. All of these men are no longer with us so this means a lot to me and I can't wait to have these pieces of family history under my roof. I also have a Remington 870 Wingmaster as well as a Winchester 69A waiting for me but they have no sentimental value, they are just beautiful guns. I think that's a pretty good start. So that's it in a nutshell. I look forward to getting to know some of you nutz over the next while.
