An oldie time long range shooter told me in the 70s and early 80s he used a lot of Canadain surplus ammo and he'd check the cante of each cartridge and find the side that was different and mark it, he'd always chamber the cartridges with the mark up so they were all chambered the same. He suggested doing it with all my cartridges. He just didn't discribe how he did it, we ran out of time and I had to be on my way.
