As the title states. And where dont you put any? I'm a tool/car guy so I have a tendency to want to oil/lube anywhere two metal parts contact or slide past each other. I'm also a complete noob to maintaining firearms, so I'd rather not have my SKS slam fire at the range(No oil on the pin assm, got that one), or run into any other issues down the line. Have gleaned some info from the net for my two rifles(SKS and Mosin-Nagant), but was looking for something a little more comprehensive.

Read the sticky at the top of the red rifles forum or click here http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/foru...corrosive-ammo-cleaning-lubrication-*updated* You're welcome

Like most bolt action rifle just put a bit of grease on the locking lugs since they take a beating every shot and the rest just need a little oil enough to get it wet then work the bolt a few times to get it in everywhere then whip off the extra.

People here will disagree, but I recommend oiling the gas system. Few of us shoot enough to make it an issue and flash rust is hard to get off. After i have cleaned mine, I oil it and wipe the oil off. I have no problems with it.

Agreed, I oil everything, YES even the bolt and firing pin. I believe it makes clean up easier as the powder residue can't get onto/into the metal surfaces as easily...Er, uh, I mean, Don't over think Comrade, drink wodka...share wodka with comrades...rifle like wodka too!!:p
