Cheddite Primers

I'll substitute Cheddite primers in 12 ga. target loads because there's lots of room to accommodate pressure differences. In 20 ga. however, the pressure margins are tighter and I stay by the book.

I have shot somewhere between 15 & 20,000 Cheddite Primers with only one FTF and no "pierced Primers" I don't know if the one FTF was my fault or the Primers. The last case of WW I bought (5000) had over 10 FTF's. Since then I have switched to Cheddites. And they are cheaper.

You have been lucky.Punch trough is very common with them on the high end skeet guns and some of the over under brownings. There was a few guys at the club over the years lost firing pins as a result and will no longer use them. I have not used enough of them to see the punch trough plus no longer own a K32 or K80.

I have shot them through Perazzis, SKB's Winchester SX-1's various SxS's, Model 12's and recently my TsKib Soo. Not one pierced Primer.

Funny but it happens that some guys will have no issues with them. Do a quick search on google and others seem to have seen many punch throughs as we have witnessed here.
Could be all the batch of primers who knows.

The only ones I have used are marked CX2000 (as Rembo Pointed out) I have never used any other Cheddite types. I know lots of guys that use them and everything I hear is positive.

OK you got me off my lazy butt to go and dig. I have 4 boxes of 1000 here from a couple of different batches it seems ,all are black flash hole and oversized and no cx2000 anywhere. So it looks like they sell us the old junk down here. I wonder when the cx2000 came out. The date on mine are 2003 and 2007.

I have been using the CX2000's for about 3 or 4 years now. Have no idea when they first came out. They run $39.95 for a Thousand.
