Hi all
Just to show you how I made a cheek rest for my Lee Enfield. First, find a piece of leather, and cut to shape, and make a bunch of holes
Next, cut some more leather about 4 x 1 1/2, and glue them one on top of the other with construction glue (Lepage PL premium)
Let dry for 1 day. Next shape the corner of the leather with a sharp knife.
Next step involves leather stitching (sp?), so if you are not equiped to do that ask help. I took the sailmaker course way back in 1991 when I was in the Sea cadet, and I still have the needle and twine.
Next, cut around the stitch, leaving about 1/4 inch of material. Et voilà, a Lee Enfield cheek rest ! I attached it at the back to the sling swivel, so it does not move at all.
Hope you like it (and I have some leather left, PM if interested in one...)
