Do you guys know who would have cheek rest in stock? I like the sniper cheek rest from Get Some Tactical but they have none in stock and will not for a while. I want one with extra shell holder in side.

From the pictures I would suggest that #2 (Hawktex) and #5 (Rifle Cheek Pad) would be ambi possibly. I'll let you know about the Hawktex when I get it this week.

The Tac Pro is ambi too, you just have to reverse the bolts holding it to the stock.

It would probably be simplest to simply look up the products on the manufacturers web site. The blackhawk products at least have pictures of both sides.

if i push the cheek pad over it rests against the upper part of my cheek, hard to tell without putting the rifle on a bench and seeing how it feels to shoot with it. but ive gotta push it off to the side a little with my face to make it feel good. lets see if the material will cause some skin burn if it slips on my face a little, lol

HawkTex Tactical Cheek Pad

This is the one I got from Fabsports.

So far I like it. I will be using it for a match this Saturday so I will be able to give it a real test then.

The material is soft and provides some grip yet appears to be durable. The one complaint I had with the Tac Pro was then when it was hot my cheek felt like it was slipping due to sweat. I don't expect this will have the same problem. I may be proven wrong next summer though :p

Overall the pad adds about 3/4 inches un-compressed. The interior padding is foam so there will be some compression with use. I actually could use just a bit more rise but I am still getting a lot better cheek weld with it than the bare low comb stock.

You also have to remove the pad for cleaning, at least on my rifle. That is actually expected and not hard. There a two velcro straps the wrap under the stock.

I would say the pad is totally ambi so our left shooting brothers and sisters will be able to make full use of this product.

No, it does not have any pockets or shell holders.

This is how the foam inserts are stacked inside

These are the removable inserts. I would expect I could simply add one or two more if I find the material to match. They are a tight fit to insert into the pad....and you have to take it right off the rifle to insert them.

And here is how it looks installed

By the way, great job by Fabsports on getting my order out very quickly. I ordered the pad on-line early Monday morning and it arrived at my office on Wednesday.

I apologize for the inadvertent free advertizing for Lyman, RCBS, Hornady and Elwood Epps (if you look real close :D)

Life fire test complete. Works quite well IMO. No issues or concerns raised today. Very comfortable and I did not have to "hunt" for the centre of the scope. In fact, I did not think about the pad at all while shooting which to me means it is doing exactly what it is supposed to with no annoying features.
