Cheek riser forward kit

Hello all,

Does anyone know of a way to move forward a set cheek riser? I have an MDT chassis with a standard riser. Scope can’t go far enough back to meet eye relief due to picatinny length hitting the objective lens flare. Is there a kit or something that allows for forward movement of these fixed risers? The cheek plate can screw off the riser bars so I was thinking of getting a 2” metal flat bar, drilling a hole on each end to offset the bars to cheek plate.

Anyone know of a video or a way that’s been proven to work?

Thanks all

I have no idea if this is an option... but is it possible to cut some of forward length of the offending rail - off?

Is the pic removable so you can relocate it, maybe with new holes in the pic ? Or a slightly higher ring-set ? Your idea of an extension on the cheek rest might be the way ?

If you have to move your cheekrest to look thru your scope that’s going to create awkward shooting positions. Cycling the bolt may bring the back of the bolt uncomfortably close to your eye. Higher rings, different rail or modified rail as suggested by Guntech would all be better options.

Guntech has the correct remedy !!
If your rail's screw holes are back from the front edge a notch or three, you can cut some off to allow the objective bell to move back a bit. There are also extension rings available that will move the scope rearward some. Leupold and Weaver both make them IIRC

Decided to make a prototype riser adaptor. Works like a charm! Bolt still far enough from face when cycled and now my cheek isn’t riding the front ridge. Now just to fab something prettier….image.jpgIMG_1118.jpegIMG_1119.jpegIMG_1120.jpeg

Make a new riser - you already have the hardware for it. You could 3D print one or make one from wood.... make it as long or short as needed
