The one time I used M.D. Charlton for a repair job, the turnaround was very quick; about two weeks including shipping to and from Calgary.

Same thing happened to mine. I took it back to where i bought it and they were kind enough just to replace the entire sight with one of an MP40 they had at the shop on display. Maybe just go to a local gun shop and see if they'll do that for you. Or maybe you can somehow just attain a new front sight and put in on or have it put on as opposed to sending the whole gun away and having to wait forever.....

The problem I have with that is if it is the slide not been SPECS a new sight will not fix the issue. Under warranty work if they discover that the problem is the slide and not the sight I will get another one. If I try to fix it myself and put another sight they might cancel the warranty.

I spoke with MD. Charlton guy today. They where very helpful! Told that after they get the gun they will have it fixed and back to my house in less then 2 weeks apparently.

Brand new sight and/or slide depending on what they will judge is the problem.

And warranty will still be on. :)

Cheers.

Yeah good call. Always good to be careful of warranty. I guess mine wasn't moving, just the dot came out. Your situation probably a good idea to get it checked out. good luck!!

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!
I bought a S&W 1911 that had a jamming problem right out of the box. The gun store sent it to the warranty centre here in BC and I never got it back! After 8 months of waiting the guys at Reliable gave me a full credit for the gun and I bought a Kimber Custom II target in SS...excellent gun right out of the box! I have a S&W m&p 40 and have had no problems with it at all (2000 rounds through it).
