Chef Ramsy hunting hogs

I'll see your anti(s) and raise you Cuiker...lol. Good video, shame he didn't get one in the open. Looks like the "guide" was carrying a 30-30 while Ramsey had something that needed a tall bipod despite where they were hunting. Bullet retrieved from the vitals imo. Pretty fixed if you ask me and I am sure the troops got a good feed.

Might have been a canned hunt, and a bit scripted, but it at least shows one the hunting to plate way of doing things...

I'll give him an A for effort for at least shooting a gun in a few of his youtube videos...

Gordon is a big advocate for people to hunt and eat game meat
I did see one program where he was in canada hunting and he actually stated why canadian laws dont allow the sale of wild game meat to bars and restaurants

Go on youtube and search F word gordon ransey
And he goes snow goose, deer hunting

A lot of chefs hunt. Jamie Oliver (that surprised me), Anthony Bourdain are a couple of others I've seen on TV.

I don't mind Gordon, although his show(s) used to be better. But we should welcome EVERYONE to our ranks, and HUGE kudos for NOT being some nitwit obsessed with just shooting an animal with the biggest antlers.

I was hopeing he would get a chance to shoot one, sure did make the cooking part look easy though. Good video.

They hunted and struck out... the feral hog in the cage was dispatched, not hunted... this is a cull situation not a hunting situation. As far as Ramsay is concerned, I applaude his desire to get directly involved with the harvest, processing and cooking. His You Tube show is doing us all a favour... connecting people more directly to the source of "meat" is a good thing.

At least he knows which end points where. Kudo's for him not worrying enough about the P.C. crowd to care if his image takes a hit.

This. Some people may not like his personality but you don't see many people with his profile putting themselves out there to draw the almost certain ire of the anti-hunting "elites".

Honestly, I didn't like the guy until I watched these hunting/fishing videos... I respect what he is doing in them... he shares the experiences with his kids... and he brings game meat home and prepares it for his family... more people need to understand that process from start to finish.

I also saw one of his shows where he showed off his small hobby farm where he and his family grow their own animals for personal consumption..... while it wasn't hunting related, he did show everything from pen to plate minus the actual slaughter.....
