Is anyone using a set up like this for hunting? I am looking at setting one up with most of the gear that is required for every trip. It would be easy to take on and off and all your gear stays ready to go.

If anyone has one set up already, pics would be great.

Thanks

no pics of my setup, but i have one that i use when i get a good distance from the truck. Keep a rangefinder and a box of shells in the two big pockets, licences and a compass in the small ones, and whatever calls i may need, i strap a knife to the shoulder strap, and one on my belt, sharpening stones and what not in pockets, and the big compartment on the back holds estra clothing in chase temperature changes (this is alberta, it does)

This company has some neat products (Strap Vests) that may cater to your needs......their stuff is quite well designed from an ergonomics/ample storage perspective. Good quality too.

everything I need to shoot, gut& fully quarter an animal goes on my belt or in my pockets (thigh pockets). jacket goes over belt gear, keeping it snag free. will carry a small backpack if spending multiple hours on foot. don;t think I would like a vest much. and who wants to look uberghey mallninja while hunting? must keep style police happy ;)

i have started using a "turkey vest" for calling coyotes it has:
-many many pockets for all the crap i end up carrying
-the leafy style camo so noone can see me ;)
-and a flip down seat so i don't spear my tender parts when i sit down

i basicaly can pick a gun/ammo and be out the door should the need arise...

i carry 2 knives on my belt alogn with 14 rounds of ammo licence in the wallet binocs in pocket or around neck and any calls in pocket or around the neck, no need to go high tech although i have wondered about trying it.

Here's mine. I can't remember all that was in it when I took the pic but it was quite abit. Likely 1/2 dozen calls of which one is a large horn howler. Toilet paper, cell phone, radios. knives, extra ammo, binos, foam pad, camera and there was still pockets left over for stuff you really don't need:D. Fits well but I found it noisy on brush since it is stiff and new. Comes in three colours from Forest City Surplus for about 65 or 70 bucks.

Grnhog, that looks pretty good.

I've often thought about a rig like that, looks handy. However, I often have a spotting scope with me, as well as lunch and water bottle, so I usually use a daypack.
