Chiappa 12 inch 45-70 1886 Wildlands Question

Hey there,

I’ve been thinking about getting one of these 12” LAs but I’ve seen one or two posts that mention that the rifle will not shoot at point of aim with open sights. Just wondering if any owners and confirm this.

Does the ghost ring not have enough up/down travel to adjust to different loads ? On the Alaskan scout I can adjust it fairly decently for either 38spl or 357 mag

Recently got a Chiappa 12" Ridgerunner in 45-70
I had to drift the rear sight one notch to the left and spin it one rotation up. Shooting pretty good now.
