chiappa 1911-22?

i got one, i had 3 "explosions" with gases coming thru gaps between slide and frame hurt my face, i think i might of lose my eyes or hurt them really really bad if it weren't for safety glasses, i shot box of Winchester value pack 333rnds thru it, i talked to the gunsmith at CSC, he said its likely be a improperly machined chamber, he told me to shot it some more with variety of ammo that he gave me and brink the casings back, i did, and they all had a bulge on one side, needless to say there is little you can do to fix the gun, and im not a masochist to shot it, neither i wanna sell to some one and him/her experience pieces of burning powered on the skin of the face, though i would sell it on request to a masochist for 100$. the reason i got over GSG is as thru my research it had less problems then GSG and style of thumb safety also appealed to me (i practice holster draws, and it requires constant use of all safety with in design of the gun when putting the gun back in the holster), bottom line, i do not shot that gun :(, i hope i didn't upset you to much with this info

They are both 22's of marginal quality. The GSG usually gets the nod but nowhere near the other quality 22's on the market.

Mine works just fine with American Eagle 36 gr rounds. Like any semi-auto, it needs to break in.

The only thing I would change is the magazines, I really don't like plastic mags like these.
