You might wanna check the regs on hoppin in and out of helis with a rifle...

No law against it that i can find as long as it's unloaded and you don't hunt for the next 24 hrs. Just jump out with it on you, then load once you hit the ground, and you're good to go.

You may have missed his previous posts, but the 'jumping out of helicopter' thing is for his work, not for hunting. I could see how you'd read it to mean 'jump out of the helicopter AND THEN go hunting :) But that's not what he meant.

Nice little Carbine!
Hunting regs don't allow hunting once you jump out of a helicopter? You have to wait 24hrs? I guess its like waiting a half hour to go swimming after one eats.

Hahah - well i'd have to look into how long you have to wait to hunt if you eat IN the helecopter of course :)

The rule exists to prevent people from using planes or choppers to find animals, then land a little ways away and run over and shoot them. It's not considered sporting :)

Yup.

Most pilots I have worked with want the firearm in the basket or rear compartment, so as not to allow dumb a$$es to discharge a firearm in the helicopter. Same goes for bear spray and bangers.

I have no idea about hunting regs with heli's though, I am not rich enough to be able to hire a heli to go hunting haha.

On topic, I wouldnt mind getting a full stock for my mare's leg at some point, or if one pops up a 45-70 with a 16" barrel.

your right all firearms, bear spray and bangers in the basket or the rear compartment but with helicopters smaller is better spent more time in helicopters then driving to work!
love working in the bush sum times!
drill grease is crack for griz!

Helicopters for the purposes of hunting is illegal, with the exception of the NWT. When a aircraft is used for transportation while hunting, the hunter must wait 6 hours after landing or 48 hours if wildlife We're spotted on the flight.

haahaa no I wood not be hunting by helacopter getting to my work is by helacopter

sorry, i was refering to the air regs, which is why the good pilots dont let you pack in front, but i have worked on bushplanes that the cargo/cabin is all one as well...hmmm, it'll be the pilots prob if in the remote chance you get caught, wich remids me of a good joke.."how do you know if there is a pilot at your party?....don't worry he'll tell you"lol
its true!
