Any Nutz know of a manufacturer that has furniture available for the Chiappa M1 9mm carbine? I like the gun, hate the looks and feel of the factory cheapo synthetic stock, Have not been able to source anything myself, hoping someone here can help!

You could go with a repro WWII paratroopers folding stock, but you will be looking at fitting and inletting.
For the price point, if you hate the plastic, I would recommend either buying one with a wood stock or look at re-finishing the existing plastic one.

I looked at those folding stocks, kind of a lateral move. What I would really like is to find some "body work" that would make this more of an AR type weapon. The wood stock is still an option, this gun just feels cheap and ungainly with the plastic.

Troy was making a chassis for the m1 carbine(might of been fit-able to the chiappa)
I think they stopped when the world responded with a resounding "that's dumb"

Lol, well I checked their site, apparently they think its dumb as well. No M1 stock to be found. They do show a M14 stock that I may try. If I had a "real M1" I would not be doing this. As it stands, imho, the Chiappa is disposable so I'd like to modify it for fun.

I'll consider that, any suggestions on a good 9mm carbine platform to start with??

I had a JR Carbine that ran flawlessly with Blazer aluminum cased 115gr. I would have kept it but I had no where to shoot it but the range so I just got an AR. The Glock mags were a bonus since I have a Glock too.

Thats why I went with the Chiappa, it uses Beretta mags and I have a barge load of them. I also have a "private range" of sorts so I like the idea of a non restricted 9mm to plink with. I looked at the JR but have no real gun lust for it.
