Hey guys I'm interested in buying one of those chiappa 1892 pistol caliber lever guns with the 9" barrel. I hear that chiappas lever guns are pretty good, I'd like to hear from some people who have them. Thank you

Last summer i bought the chiappa 22 lever. Its sort of a marlin 30a copy. It started spliting cases at the rim right away and spitting stuff in my face. I sent it away for warranty repair must be 10months ago. After a few months i emailed asking about it they said they recieved it. I havent heard from them since. I replaced it right away with a henry i didnt want to go the summer without a lever 22.

I was eying their 12" barreled Mare's leg in 357. It was a takedown model with a colour case hardened receiver and big loop lever. It seems to be a very nicely made and finished rifle. Anybody with experience with these can chime in.

I owned this exact gun, but in .44mag. I was very hesitant about buying it after a couple of bad experiences with other Chiappas, but it was so beautiful that I couldn't resist it. It turned out to be flawless, both cosmetically and functionally. Shot very well, took down smoothly into a tiny package (fit easily into a single-handgun case), and never caused me any grief. The case colours were lovely, as was the colour and grain of the wood. Beautiful gun.

My first rifle for Cowboy Action Shooting was a Chiappa 1892 in .357 mag . It was finished well, looked great and ran pretty much flawlessly so long as I was working the lever assertively . That was about a yr ago and using that rifle I progressed pretty quickly, going from the bottom of the standings in local monthly matches to the middle of the pack. I eventually traded up to an Uberti '73 but even so I was reluctant to sell that rifle.
