..of which I am a very happy one: how do you find the noise emitted from the breach area during firing to be? Given that it's a break-barrel action it will never be as quiet as bolt gun (IMO) but I am wondering if there are tweaks or adjustments that could be made to reduce the noise. Or any advice.

I can't think of much beyond better ear protection or some CCI quiet ammo.
I haven't noticed noise from the breach shooting mine.

Shooting mine with Remington CeeBee or CCI Cb Long results in not much more then a loud clap. Hearing protection optional. I'm actually really impressed with the trigger and accuracy of the little badger.

I was shooting mine with just ear plugs. Didn't notice it to be louder than say my bolt guns. Accurate little shooter though, no matter what I run through it.

I run exclusively CCI Quiets and Rem CBEEs through it, i just noticed that it wasn't as quiet as my bolt gun and was hoping for some tweaks. Having said that, it's still quite a quiet gun. Gotta love that trigger, eh? I've got guns 10x the price that didn't have factory triggers that good. And the accuracy I'm quite happy with. Love the little badger! :)

Well I have the 22 mag version and it Is loud. Iv never shot a 22 mag through anything else but its louder that a std 22lr for sure.

Does your bolt rifle also have a 16" barrel?

No, it doesn't have a 16" barrel, but it's not the barrel noise I'm interested in, it's the noise around the breach as per the originating post in this thread (breech? I can't remember how to spell it).

I understood your OP, I just don't hear what you are describing when shooting the Little Badger.
I'd guess the barrel length has more to do with your perception of noise then sound escaping from the joint between the barrel and the receiver.

A simple test for you would be to wrap some foam insulation over the receiver and fire it and compare it to no insulation..... not practical for actual use but an easy test to see if your hypothesis is correct.
