A reflex sight on one of my SKS's had a windage screw that would not stay tight with the recoil and cartridge hitting the rail upon ejection. I fixed the nut on this sight and remounted it on my Little Badger, removing the Badger's factory sights. Today I bench tested this rifle for the first time with something other than the (clunky/low mounted) factory sights. I was very please to get a 5 shot group at 25 yards that measured .3" across! I was happy. I was using standard Federal 38 grain copper coated ammo. I think it's a keeper for what I'll use it for...nice rig.

impressive, I was shooting crab apples at 20 yards with mine, but I had a scope :)

...there are five reticles on this reflex ...the circle with the external cross-hairs allowed me to centre the site perfectly ...squirrels, racoons, and crab apples beware! ;)

...what a nice gun

(...the reflex was a cheap one...$120...i'll need something more substantial for my SKS's)

I have shot a friends little badger a couple times and holy crap it is a really accurate gun. Definitely a good thing for a survival gun where every shot counts.

...mine rides with me in my truck here in the bush ...now i know it can really do everything i need ...i love this reflex sight

And.... then I went crazy... its amazing what you can do with a few old bits laying around... and a dremel...

Now that I am done fooling around, I kind of want to try it in this configuration.... I can't wait to put this thing on the 300 yard range beside the serious shooters....

This is awesome....live it...I got one in 22wmr and I think you just gave me some ideas :)

...here's an interesting addition to my thread

...i had bought a flash suppressor to try on the LB ...i wanted some metal on the end instead of the plastic ...i was told that these don't work on .22's ...the advice was correct, still the same muzzle flash ...so today while sorting through some items i want to put on EE i realized that i had never fired the rifle for accuracy with the flash suppressor on it, so i mounted it hand tight and went outside ...what a DISAPPOINTMENT!!! ...same distance, same ammo, same bench rest

original group shot 2 days ago with metal muzzle protector (SJ Hardware)

group shot today with daniel defense flash suppressor (not meant for .22 lr)

they weigh less then a feather and fold down so they can be put into a compartment of a quad or easily into a backpack for trail riding or hunting or hiking.
saves packing a full sized 22.

and they are cheap.

Forgive me, but what is the attraction to these rifles. They're ugly and look horribly unergonomic and uncomfortable.

...i hear you ...not everyone's going to like them ...to me they're not ugly (and i'm a traditional blued and wood guy) ...the barrel and receiver are really robust ...and the wire's not bad either ...they are light ^^^ and at 17" folded they can be stowed anywhere ...and from my shooting (above) they can be accurate ...the muzzle is threaded, which would work out nice if you wanted to put a noise-reducer on it (i can hope the laws will change, can't i?) ...they are out of the way in the pickup here and mine is stowed up above on a visor shelf ...exactly what i need here ...oh, and i can bash the bejeezus out of it and not feel like i'm wrecking a good gun ;) (i also train retrievers and have enough gear on me to deal with as it is, so this little thing is a lot better in the field if i run across a badger, etc.)

So how did it perform at 300 yards?
