Hello,

I recently bought a Chiappa Firearms Little Badger. It's a good little single shot 22 carbine, it's super light and folds up very nice...

Just one minor problem I'm having with it. When I use subsonic ammo I get gas blowback, it also seams to happen when I use standard velocity and high velocity ammo as well just not as often...

Could it be that the camber is out of spec. Allowing gas to escape from the breach ?

Or is this a a common occurrence that happens when you use subsonic .22lr ammo?

I was out with mine on Sunday. No issues at all. I forgot to chamber some sub-sonic, but after 100 or so Winchester bulk, no issues at all. Check the brass for bulging or splitting. I would not expect the brass to be uniform if the chamber was out of spec.
Sorry about your luck, hopefully you can figure it out. It is a fun little gun.

Yes it's a .22lr rifle. I'm getting gas blowback, I use good quality ammo. Just want to know if others are experiencing the same thing or maybe I just got a bad rifle....

Where is the blowback coming from? Sides of the reciever or top?
When you extract a case how tight is it? What type of subsonic are you using?

I have only shot American Eagle/Federal 40gr standard out of mine, with no evidence of blowback.

I would recommend examining the hinge and lockup as well as the bolt face. There might be a small amount of fouling or debris in there.

Mine works fine. I've shot mini mags, stingers, CCI quiet, shorts, all sorts of blulk.

I think there could be something to it being a .22wmr chamber. Have you tried stuffing a .22mag in it?

Also not had any issues with mine, everything it's fed fires just fine. 22 HV, 22 SV, 22 short, 22 CB.. zero problems.
