Hello all,

I bought a Chiappa Little Badger a while ago.
Neat little gun, but the sights are not going to cut it, so I'm planning on putting a red dot on it.
My gun did not come with the 4 picatinny rails that attatch to the barrel, so I need to find one to mount the optics to.
Anyone know where I can order these from? Weaver doesn't seem to make a rail for this gun.

Cheers,

C.C.

your gun did not come with the quad rails on it?
that is strange cause they come from the factory with the 4 rails on them.

they are just hard plastic normal 20mm pic rails that are 4" long, i just went and checked mine for ya.
you can get them on ebay for $5.

just watch the screw holes and threads.
they are 1/4" in off the ends then right in the middle at 2", not sure what the thread pattern is but its a tight one.

Where did you buy it from? At my local Canadian tire, the one guy told me that they had to remove the rails on the display model because customers were complaining that it looked scary lol.

i dont know about that.
i got mine right when they came out and it had rails.
i know a couple other people that have them, all railed.
ive never even heard or seen of one without rails until above post.

I used one off a SR22 on my Badger and cut it so it extends about 1" over the barrel. Much better and gives me more room to mount a scope. You have to be careful with these screws on the Badger, they strip if you breathe on them!

Whether or not it was the first batch or not, I am sure I saw a dealer or 2 selling the version without the rails. It was at a lower price point than the ones with rails, but I think most people wanted the rails so they all come with rails now.

that is strange to think that a LGS would take rails off a gun just because it looked....... rail-y?
i remember when i picked mine up i stalked the internet and compiled a list of all the stores that where selling them and i checked them all out and never noticed ones without the rails.
im curious if this was maybe just one store doing it to their stock?
which again seems strange that they would be doing that.

i noticed when i pulled a couple off of mine that they are just plastic rails.
a fella could do a lot better by ordering some metal ones off of ebay for $2-3 and cutting to size.

at the end of the day a fella always could just shoot chiappa a email and ask for some rails.
ive dealt with them before and they where more then happy to send me items i asked for.

hey hey hey!
look what i found!

Chiappa Little Badger with NO RAIL for sale here in Canada!

i guess you guys where right!
i would say since these are out now and this is the first im seeing of them that this is a new thing as i researched the hell out of them when i picked mine up and never heard word one of a non railed version.

and funny thing, that no railed version is more expensive then what i paid from that same store for my railed version!!!

There was quite a few sold by Canadian tire around here without rails. I've had some for sale as well and my own didn't come with them. They were priced cheaper. You can easily have a gunsmith make one.

Are the non railed ones drilled and tapped? Hard to imagine much savings to be had by not including 4 small plastic rails.

Yes frontier. That is one of the ones I saw. Couldn't remember who it was. But that be one. They were not selling for that much before, but like everything the price is going up. Yours may have been from older stock so they may have let it go for the older price. But can't understand why anyone would want one without the rails.

i just looked up when and where i got mine.
i got mine from frontier in 2013 for $220, was the first ones i could find in canada for sale so i jumped on it.

If you're OK to wait a bit, I'll sell you 3 of the rails off mine when it arrives. I only need/want one on the top for a sight. All other rails aren't of much use to me... Heck, I might even get rid of all 4 if they're plastic... I'm not a fan of plastic.

i ended up pulling off the side ones when i dressed mine up.

if i had any idea where i filed them away id offer them up.
buy ya, they are cheap plastic rails.
a person would do much better picking up some metal ones and swapping them out if they had the time to cut and measure.
