Several posts concerning a pistol grip on the Little Badge got me thinking. The Badger is an accurate .22. But if pointed downward it is hard to maintain a grip on it since its wire stock is smooth. Others have suggested a larger, more conventional grip. For me, the advantage of the Badger is its light weight. I decided to add a simple, short stub to its design...something that would not impede its collapsed size.

I started with a 5mm, .80 thread bolt and thought of adding heat shrink wrap to it...

...but that was not satisfying

...so i bought a 3/8" steel tube and modified it to fit the rifle

...after finishing the stub i ground down a 3/8" hard plastic plug to serve as a bushing inside of the tube...

...here's the bushing inside the tube, epoxied in place...

...this was then cold-blued, and bolted onto the rifle and serves as a 1-fingered grip to steady the rifle...

...it's perfect...simply perfect for a light-weight .22 and assists in both carrying (muzzle-down) as well as firing...

...and it is about the same height as the trigger guard so does not get in the way of the folded size of the Little Badger...

...it works, right? :)

...nice job...you realize the need for something like this...

makes a huge difference! i had to cut down the dowel and put a v notch into the bottom of the grip for it to fold properly.

and just in case you didn't know if you remove or modify the bottom rail you can get it to fold smaller.
