Chiappa M1-9 does it need pinned 5 round mags?

The reason it comes with a 5 round mag is because that mag is designed for that rifle. Any other mags that fit (Beretta 92) are designed for handguns and are limited to 10 rounds.

Now you can get Beretta 96 mags and load them with 12-14 9mm rounds because again, the magazine is designed to hold 10 40S&W rounds. Canadian gun laws are so fun lol.

Don't forget to look up your local hunting laws. Those will have restrictions on capacity and caliber.

*I haven't confirmed the 40S&W mag with 9mm rounds yet in a Beretta mag, but other pistol mags are able to do this that I have tried (CZ and Glock)*

Does any of you guys own one of these in 9mm? If so, how does it shoot? Is it fairly accurate? Reliable? What optic do you run on it?

I would call it a toy if anything. Cheaply made, bolt hold back pin pops out (watch fingers). The rear site on mine drifts loose in the dovetail on occasion. Runs reliably 80% of the time.

I like it cause I'm a wwii buff, and it takes 10 rnd mags. Plus my son loves it. He says "it's got wau more punch than a .22!" .

There are way better rifles to hunt with imo.

Duly noted!! Thanks. So is there another better option? Beretta CX4? Any other 9mm pistol mag guns worth owning? Is the JR carbine or Aero precision type of guns good?
