Chiappa M1-9 MBR

Does anyone know if/when this is coming to Canada? I was never a fan of the m1-9 NSR goofy pistol grip and stock. This is more in line with what I would have wanted from Chiappa.

I can understand wanting a classic looking M1 Carbine in 9mm, even one with a plastic stock that followed the lines of the original, but one with picatinny rails and a barrel shroud? That looks like a bubba mail ninja got at it.

They should have just went with a whole new 'tacti-cool' stock set.

The primary draws for me is that this has a treaded barrel and a pic rail for modern sights. If the flip up sights are anything like the NSR's I'd probably bin them immediately.

Looks like its Bubba'd from the factory. They could have done a few things differently to make it look a little more appealing.

Most would buy a M1 knock off because they like the classic look of the WW2 M1 ; not sure why any one would buy this rifle though as it doesn't really look like an M1 ?

Good lord what a useless sight radius... and those sights... why would they make it with a "classic" sort of stock design then mount the sights so bloody high?!

Without first being able to examine one in person I wouldn't trust that rail to hold anything bigger than a red dot either, looks like it's attached to the handguard?...

I had one of the NSR as something to piss off the Fudds at my local range. Worked like a dream! It was so damn ugly though

At least you can get a cheek weld with that stock, even if it's sinfully ugly.

Is that handguard mounted rail any good? Could it support a scout scope or would you recommend sticking to red dots?

I really don't, but I'm glad there are more PCC options. Even if this one is apparently just a straight-up cosmetic variant.

The "wood" handguard is basically IKEA furniture...Tyr help you if it gets wet!!! Agreed on the small radius for your irons...the weight is wack and the reliability (on average) is poor.
