Greetings

Really like the look of this rifle
have mixed reviews during my research
who has experience with this one ?
what are your thoughts ?
Thank you

I almost bought one because I too loved the look of them. However, the internet turned me off quick. Lots of reviews about cheap plastic parts breaking, failure to feed, failure to eject, you name the problem and you can probably find a review stating that problem.

Really is a shame since they do look really nice.

I bought one at a auction with the knowledge of the issues some have had. That being said I have been happy with it. I have been using my own cast bullet reloads with a load that isn't very hot but has enough power to cycle the action.

I have one that was a POS.
Sent it back for warranty work and now is reliable. It only fails with full mags, so I load 7 rounds only. gunsmith told me to get a mag with a weaker spring or cut the spring of one of my mags.
For the price I can't complain.

I've had two of them and they both worked flawlessly with over a thousand rounds through each of them. Not one malfunction. All of the rounds I shot through them were 124 grn fmj hand loads.

I had one and it was fun to shoot and ran flawlessly.

Then it suffered a bolt failure and had to go in for warranty. It got a new bolt that lacked the hold open button which socked. The gun came back from warranty with the front sight installed backwards lol.

Rear sight used to come loose and fall off. After a year with the gun I worked out the kinks but ended up getting rid of it as I had a bad taste in my mouth.

I scoffed how retailers kept the mags for resale and substituted in Pro-mags. I call them cro-mags because some neanderthal made them.

I didn't have that problem. I insisted on Beretta made mags when I purchased the rifles or no sale.

Same with my CX4, no knock off mags.

Very good point Deckard. Very likely the cause of a lot of the bad press and malfunctions. The way the M9s function I can easily see an issue with non standard mags.

I wrote a review on the Chiappa M1-9 https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/for...appa-M1-9-The-poor-mans-PCC?highlight=chiappa

Simply put I think its the best bang for your buck NR PCC. Frequently found for ~$500 its nearly a third of the price of the NR CX4, with a quality around half of that. It's traditionally stocked if you like that grip which no one until the (Ruger PCC was released again) was making.

It does have its flaws most notably the failure to feed (due to the magazine well design) and loose rear sight (remedied with blue loctite), but I think for ~$500 its pretty good for what you get as long as you know you are compromising on.

But with the Ruger PCC for ~$850, it is a lot better designed and probably will be the best bang for your buck NR PCC available.

I bought one for 450 new this year and I love it. Has never given me any issues. From what I gather some of the older manufacture guns had issues but the later ones are fine. Mine is made in 2018. I don’t think there’s a better bang for your buck out there excluding Milsurp.

I purchased one shortly after they were released in a synthetic stock for 450.00 ish, dremeled off the fake bayo lug and I modified a USGI stock and in she went. I ended up going through 2 carbines over 2 years with various issues.. FTF, FTE.. Then I had a Receiver crack and a bolt break in half.. I did have a decent run of almost a year with no issues. It's a hoot to shoot when it is working as it should! I really wanted another, 9MM is so fun to shoot in semi auto... But, I have just purchased 9mm Suomi instead! Fingers crossed!!
