I just got one, and all i have is a few hundred remmington golden bullets...for those of you that have one, what is the favorite ammo reccommended for this rifle

I love my M4 upper - just a few things for prospective buyers though:

1) Make sure you have a rounded hammer (not the notched type - especially seen on the Norc lowers!) on your lower - otherwise you will get only 1 out of 10 rounds to fire (if that!)

2) Have optics or an M4 removable handle at the ready since this comes with the flat top only (and like hell you can hit anything more than 10 feet away without a rear sight!)

3) Tolerances are quite tight to begin with, so keep a .223 bullet handy to be able to push the rear pin for take down.utt-stock

4) If you dont have a collapsable but stock - get one! Really makes for a nice M4-gery!

Other than that, best bang for your buck for a dedicated .22 upper!

I just gave mine a good test the other day. It's mounted on a newish Norc CQB lower.

I loaded 25 rnds at a time in the magazine and fired both slow aimed shots and rapid fire. These were my results:

Win 333 100 rnds - no problems
Fed Champion Target SV 50 rnds - one minor FTE (spent casing didn't quite make it out of the ejection port)
Eley Sport 25 rnds - no problems
CCI Blazer 25 rnds - two messy jams (casings/cartridges lodged in chamber area)

The FCT SV was the most accurate, which is good news since it's also fairly cheap. The Eley might have been as good, but I was adjusting the sight and didn't really give it a fair accuracy test. Mostly I wanted to see what ammo would cycle well.

I was surprised by the CCI results since the first time I had the gun out the CCI worked well. This time it was the last ammo I tried so it's possible it doesn't cycle as well in a dirty chamber. It could also have been that particular box.

For cheap fun, 333 looks like a good bet. For accuracy, FCT SV. YMMV.
