Look at Heritage Manufacturing listings
These guns have an alloy frame and other parts so may not take a lot of pounding. Heritage also makes steel frame revolvers for States that don't allow alloy frames,I don't know who imports these models or if they are available in Canada.

I was looking at one of those Heritage SAA revolvers. For the price, they look pretty good. I'm still torn between one of them and a Ruger 22/45.

Sorry though, no experience with the Chiappas.

I bought this Ruger (Old Model 1981) Single Six for $250 in well used condition and had some trouble with lead build-up shooting Blazer ammo, switched to CCI Standard Velocity Target ammo and problem solved.

A used gun may be an option to consider....I would love to have a SAA in .45 but can't afford one right now and .22 is so cheap to shoot.
