I recently bought a H.S on here and really enjoy the cheap target practice but recently came across a chiappa single action for 150. Was wondering if the chiappa was a better firearm or should I keep my H.S and my money? Thanks.

ive got 2x H.S. that ive had for....... 28 years???
and while i dont have a Chiappa one i do have a Heritage Arms one and id assume they are very similar.
so i cant compare the chiappa but i can tell you that the Heritage Arms one i have - while it is a nice pistol - is made from a lot lighter metal than the H.S.
the H.S. ones are German made and while they are old are solid.

now if you want to see how these guns SHOULD be made go try out a Ruger Single Six!

all the others are just cheap knock off's once youve gotten your hands on the Ruger.
SOLID pistol that one, the top tier of the mid range six shooters..... if that is a thing.

on a side note, does your H.S. spit lead out the sides like a mother.......

HS revolvers haven't been made in a while so usually they're old and well worn or beat up. I haven't shot a Rough rider but I dont think they're as high in quality but they can be had new.

I have handled a few H.S. most where good for the money, 150.oo -200.oo had one that spit lead bad, timing was out , the others where not to bad, never had a chiappa , so don't know.

Second vote for Ruger.

Yeah I plan to get a ruger in the future but need to save a little more money for that. It is on my bucket list though.
Just looking for some cheap shooters before I get into the expensive stuff.

I have never shot an H.S. but I do have an old ROHM RG63 which is in the same league as your H.S. and I like it, it makes regular trips to the range, in
fact it's coming along with me today and will probably get more range time than my S&W 617 or my Colt 1911 in .22, it's just a fun little gun with quirks. It
was also my first gun so it will always have that special spot in the safe. As for buying another gun in the same league I wouldn't, I would wait until
you can get you dream gun/guns but just a friendly word of advice, never sell the H.S. that gun is worth more to you than anyone else.

funny how much an H.S. looks like an RG63 or vice versa..

@Bart68. Yeah I don't intend to sell my HS. As you said it holds a special place in my safe and will always be going to the range with me. Just looking for some new things.
